Story.

We’re George Design, a brave creative studio built for modern brands. We combine sharp strategy with creative instinct to uncover the one essential truth your brand should be built around.

And then we craft it. Meticulously, beautifully, thoughtfully – until your brand has the type of presence that owns the room. On screen, in store & everywhere in between.

Plot twist: our founder, Georgia, didn’t cut her teeth in an agency. Instead, she built George Design on real-world business experience. No boardroom stuffiness or outdated processes to unlearn.

Georgia simply spotted an opportunity for savvy business owners (that’s you) to work with a small team of dynamic, hella-talented designers (that’s us) to craft one-of-a-kind brands. (The type of aesthetic that doesn’t just make you feel confident and excited about showing up online, but makes it easier to sell to the right people.)

Today, we partner with brands that want to break the mould, designing sleek brand identities and campaigns that feel aligned, perform commercially, and create exceptional momentum.

We think like marketers. Design like artists. Move like business owners. And we do it all with the energy of a triple-shot espresso.

Founder of GEORGE DESIGN. Creative Director. Spicy marg enthusiast. Self-proclaimed demolition derby champ. Design, sales & marketing expert.

  • Georgia is a Creative Strategist. Her expertise fuses strategy, design, and marketing – the brand growth trifecta, if you will.

With a background spanning multiple industries (including retail, beauty, wellness, and property) Georgia brings a distinct commercial lens and an innate talent for selling. She understands the full picture: stock, staffing, promotions, margins, visual identity, customer experience, and commercial performance. Every move matters, and she knows how to make them count.

Known as a “shot of caffeine” for your brand, she’s the one you call when you’re stuck, circling ideas, or ready to sharpen your direction. Georgia untangles what’s not working, amplifies what is, and helps create brand moments that convert.

“Ideas are everywhere. Sharp, commercially smart ones? Those are rare. And priced accordingly.”

  • Five years in and Emma’s already mastered the art of making brands look sharp and work smart. She’s Georgia’s protégé in commercial thinking, able to zoom out for the big picture, then zoom straight back in to roll out the nitty-gritty. Campaigns, websites, brands, ads… there’s not much she can’t do (and she usually does it faster than you thought possible).

Quiet? Sometimes. Introverted? Sure. But don’t be fooled, behind the calm exterior is a strategist who knows exactly how to make creative land, connect, and convert. Think of her as the secret weapon who makes those “big idea” moments hit the market without a hitch.

Her design love language? Turning strategy into scroll-stopping creative. Her studio quirk? She can’t handle chaotic music, it’s got to groove (think Thievery Corporation on repeat). Georgia and Emma compete for the aux cord daily, and let’s just say the vibe battle is verrrry real.

And yes, she does make a mojito strong enough to fuel a campaign rollout (or an impromptu studio dance party).

  • Campaigns, clients, chaos? She’s got it covered. Lori is our cool-headed conductor behind the scenes, turning tangled timelines into smooth launches and loose ideas into hot dot com outcomes. She’s the one making sure nothing slips, stalls, or spirals/ While Georgia hits the gas, Lori grabs the map and says “let’s roll.”

She brings a bit of South Island soul, straight-talking, salt-of-the-earth vibes with a knack for making even the most complex campaigns feel cruisy. Somewhere between high school and her first job in media, her slightly bossy teenage ways turned into a full-blown knack for leadership.

Technically, that makes her perfect for Account Management...but we don’t do the word 'manager' at George Design. Gives us the ick. Instead, Lori’s our Client Director. Because running the show shouldn’t come with corporate baggage, pencil skirts or lanyards.

She’s also a new mum - aka the one area of her life that refuses to be colour-coded. It’s the kind of beautiful chaos even Lori can’t wrangle (Georgia can relate).

One more thing… she can sing. Like, fully serenade the team on the way to lunch with John Mayer level sing. When G joked that none of us could hold a tune, Lori shot back “speak for yourself” and dropped a vocal mic. We weren’t ready. It was amazing. G may have shed a tear.

Client Director. Also: she can sing. Like, reallllly sing.

  • Originating from a deep-seated obsession with Australia’s Frankie Magazine, Lucy’s love for design kicked off amid fashion and artsy pages. “I found a strong love for all things fashion, photography, design and branding in those pages. I grew up looking at the images and designs in Frankie, GSM, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Eventually, when I got to high school I made sure every class I could get my name in would give me a direction towards a career in design, business, photography and creative marketing.”

She brings a Gen Z edge, ensuring we’re on point with the latest trends, and has already promised to school us in everything from slang to country music. “I am yet to show the team the full extent of my groovy dance moves - they are in for a real treat.“ #slay

When she’s off the clock, Lucy is out there exploring, sipping iced lattes, and snapping Insta-worthy shots that make city life look like the cover of a glossy mag. I did in fact tell her that she’s ‘the queen of an aesthetic Instagram’.

She’s committed to breaking her ‘neutrals-only’ fashion rule (though she admits it’s a tough habit to kick) and claims she’s the one person on the planet who can’t stand caramel. “It’s a controversial stance, but I’m sticking to it. Sue me.”

Junior Designer. The queen of an aesthetic Instagram.

  • Highly organised doesn’t even cover it. Kirstyn runs projects tighter than spandex flares on the Voulez-Vous tour. She’s young, fun, and terrifyingly good at details. She can spot a campaign hiccup before it even leaves the drafts. Details and deliverables lined up like dominoes.

Her fuel? At least two coffees before 10am. Her vibe? The Winner Takes It All blasting in the background while she crushes “impossible” timelines and makes it look easy. She’s stubborn in the best way. If you set her a crazy goal, she’ll hit it with time to spare (and probably bake a cake on the side).

Outside of the studio, Kirstyn’s a 10,000 steps before midday, farmers market hauls, rewatching Gilmore Girls for the fourth time, and winding down with a cuppa kinda gal.

Content Lead. Resident project wrangler.
